About The Crop PDF Tool
Trimming the margins of a PDF document is a highly complex mathematical operation because PDF coordinates are defined differently than standard images.
Our engine renders a visual overlay of your document. When you draw your cropping box, the tool calculates the exact percentages, maps them to the hidden vector origin points of the PDF, and restructures the internal CropBox array for every single page.
How to Use
- Upload your PDF document.
- The tool will render an image of the first page. Click and drag your mouse over the document to draw your crop box.
- Click 'Crop PDF & Preview'. The engine will instantly recalculate the margins and generate a secure local preview so you can verify the crop before downloading.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. The entire visual rendering, coordinate calculation, and array restructuring happens directly in your computer's RAM. We guarantee 100% privacy.
Will this crop every page?
Yes. The crop margins you draw on Page 1 will be perfectly applied to every page in the document.
Are the cropped margins permanently deleted?
No. The PDF standard dictates that a 'CropBox' simply hides the margins from the viewer. The original data outside the box technically still exists in the byte stream, which is standard behavior for all PDF cropping tools.
