About The Secure PDF Encryptor

In today's digital landscape, emailing unencrypted bank statements, medical records, or legal contracts is incredibly dangerous. The Secure PDF Encryptor allows you to lock these files with a military-grade password before sending them.

Unlike dozens of 'free' online PDF lockers that upload your highly sensitive files to an unknown backend server, this tool utilizes advanced AES-256 cryptographic algorithms directly inside your web browser. This guarantees absolute zero-knowledge privacyโ€”your document is encrypted locally on your device, and your password is never transmitted or stored anywhere.

How to Use

  1. Upload the PDF you wish to protect by dragging and dropping it into the workspace.
  2. In the password field, enter a strong, memorable password (minimum 4 characters).
  3. Click 'Encrypt & Download PDF'.
  4. The cryptographic engine will instantly encrypt the file's byte stream and download the locked version. You will need to provide the password to anyone you send the file to so they can open it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the password be recovered if I lose it?

No. The encryption used is AES-256. If you forget or lose the password, there is absolutely no way to recover or decrypt the document. Keep your password safe.

Does this upload my file to a server?

No. The entire cryptographic process runs locally in your device's RAM. We never see your document, and we never see your password.

Is AES-256 encryption secure enough?

Yes. AES-256 is the same encryption standard used by the U.S. government, military, and major financial institutions to protect top-secret data.
